Happy 22, Ashley! May this year be your best one YET!
"Often you get the athlete who is very athletic or very artistic but you don't often get both. Ashley seems to have a good blend." - John Nicks

USOC “Road to Sochi” Portraits
From Mills’ statement posted by Phil Hersh on twitter:
We each had a different focus for the upcoming Olympic season. I believe that each choreographer’s program is a work of art that needs to be kept in its original form. I wouldn’t want anyone to change my art and I just would not make changes to someone else’s work. Ashley and I have accomplished so much in the past three years and I’ve enjoyed working with her as her coach and choreographer. This decision opens new opportunities for both of us. I wish her all the best.
Mills, in addition to being part of Ashley’s coaching team, choreographed several programs for her, including her 2009 short program to “Somewhere in Time” and her programs for the past two seasons. It will be interesting to see what direction Ashley takes for the Olympic year

Ashley performed a cool, new exhibition program at the World Team Trophy gala to “Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)” by The Eurythmics, choreographed by (I believe) Shae-Lynne Bourne! Unfortunately, I haven’t seen a video of it uploaded yet :(
